Choices & Consequences
Adult Choices and Consequences of Substance Misuse Education Class is a 6-hour course consisting of 2-mandatory 3-hour sessions: 4-7 pm Monday and Wednesday held at Longview ETCADA.
This course has a fee of $100.00 to receive a certificate. To verify dates and times, please call our office Monday – Friday from 8-5 at 903-753-7633.
Texas Peer Specialist Supervisor Training
This HHSC-approved two-day training is meant to equip participants with basic information to effectively supervise peer specialists. This training will focus on defining the basic expectations of a supervisor for peer specialists through exercises and information-sharing on the roles, principles, and values of peer specialists. This training is for those pursuing the PSS certification through the Texas Certification Board.
Texas Peer Specialist CORE Training
This training HHSC-approved training is a pre-requisite for people pursuing certification through the Texas Certification Board as a Mental Health Peer Specialist (MHPS), Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS), and Reentry Peer Specialist (JI-RPS) and is approximately a 24-hour training.
Recovery Support Peer Specialist Training
The Recovery Support Peer Specialist credential standardizes the qualifications of those working as a Recovery Support Peer within the field of chemical dependency, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders. This certification is intended for providing peer specialist services through Medicaid and applies only to peer specialist services that are Medicaid reimbursable and is approximately a 46-hour training. This training is for those pursuing the RSPS Certification through the Texas Certification Board.
